How to Buy?
Most shoe stores sell boots just in the winter. Thigh highs or overknees are almost never find and if yes, there are few models to choose from. Further more most people do not live in big cities, which have special shops with extraordinary fashion, which do have nice and fancy footwear. The internet is often the only alternative.
The most three important things when you buy boots over the internet are: compare, compare and compare. If you have found a model, that you like, it is necessary to compare the prices from other shops. Price differences of 100,- or more very common. Use Google and other searching engines to find alternatives.
If the boots appear to be expensive, take a look at the material. Who wants to have more than a 100, - Euros for a pair of synthetic boots, is very likely selling overpriced. Pay attention the description, if you read something like “Super sexy, luxury designer boots, first class”, you can be sure, that these are NOT designer boots, but boots “Made in China”. The boots are not necessarily bad in that case, but should be offered to a good price. You should not be paying more than 50,- Euros.
Often onlineshops do not publish the calf-width or the thigh-width. To know, if the boot shafts dangle around the calf or if they cut off your blood circulation these information are important. If you do not get an answer after you have sent an email request, there is no other choice than to trust your eye measure of product picture. If the picture of the boots is worn by a model, it is possible to predict how the boot will fit on your own leg. Notify that models usually do have very slim legs. If you or your woman has slim legs, too, the boots will fit very similar. If your calves are more muscular, they will fit tighter. This method requires a good eye and some experience, but works fine. We order our boots like that since a couple of years.
